Adding a new color

open the colour manager by selecting ʻʻColoursʼ from the start button menu

the colour manager will open and show the colour tray on the left. First you must add a palette by clicking on the colour tray. This will add an ʻUntitled Paletteʼ. To change the

name of the palette, right-click and select ʻPropertiesʼ

to add a colour to the palette click the button. This will add a colour to the palette. Double-click the colour to open the colour chooser in the canvas area. Now just choose

your colour by clicking on the colour and saturation selectors. Your colour, together with websafe and web smart versions will be displayed.

type a name for your colour in the ʻNameʼ ﬁeld and a description if you wish

save your colour by clicking the ʻSaveʼ button.

you can add more colours to the palette by clicking the button. NB - colours will be added to the palette that is selected. Click on the palette name to select it.

Setting a New Color

You can also set colours at various points in HammerKit using the standard colour chooser that appears. It will be displayed whereever there is a colour selection, such as when you are setting the individual style for a particular element. In the colour chooser, you can choose one of the colours you have previously deﬁned in the colour manager, or create a new one by:

clicking on the colour and saturation choosers

by typing a hex code in the colour select box at the top right, e.g. #FFFFFF

by entering the RGB values in the boxes

Click ʻOKʼ to make you colour selection and then remember to preview or save your element properties to see the results.

Editing a colour

Open the colour manager and expand the relevant palette

Double-click on the colour to open the colour and saturation choosers

Choose the new colour and amend the name/description is required

Click to save your change. This colour will now be displayed whereever this

Color speciﬁcation has been applied in your web site.

Deleting a colour

Select the color you would like to delete by clicking it once

Cick the delete button at the top of the color tray. This will ask you to conﬁrm the deletion. Click ʻOKʼ to conﬁrm the deletion.
