How long is my contract?
There is no minimum service duration. You can deactivate your web site at anytime. If you decide to deactivate your web site you will be not be charged anything further and you will still have complete access to the site through its .hammerkit.com address.
What is the activation fee?
The activation fee is a one-time charge made when you want to go live with your site. It removes the development banner from the top of the site preview and allows you to connect a custom domain to the site.
What is a custom domain?
You can choose your own domain name, e.g www.mycompany.com rather than the .at.hammerkit.com address that every site has by default. You can also register or transfer a domain using the Service Manager as part of the site activation process.
Why does HammerKit charge an activation fee?
We want you to build great services that add value to your clients. We have designed HammerKit to make it faster and easier for you to do that. We charge the activation fee because we make you more efficient and productive - it is our reward for the hours of work you have saved to produce your site and the years of development time needed to build HammerKit.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription?
You can change you subscription level at anytime. The change will only come into effect on the next billing point. There is no refund of amounts paid in advance if you are downgrading from a more expensive plan.
How do I cancel a subscription?
You can do this at anytime by going to the Service Manager and deactivating the site. This will stop the subscription and remove the host name from our servers. This means the site will no longer be accessible using your www.mycompany.com address. Unfortunately we do not refund any payments already made, but you will not be charged anything further. Your site is still fully accessible through your .at.hammerkit.com address and you can still access the site contents through the Service Manager or the sites administrator login.

How do I pay for the service?
We accept VISA and Mastercard payments. When you activate a site we will create a recurring charge authorisation that will automatically deduct your monthly charge at the beginning of each month. For security reasons this arrangement is restricted to a 12 month period and we require you to renew your service agreement each year to ensure your site remains active.
What will be charged to my credit card?
When you activate a site we will charge a one-time activation fee plus the first months service fee (or part thereof). We will then charge you for the subscription fee plus any additional storage or bandwidth costs on the 1st of each month.
What is included in the monthly service fee?
Your monthly service includes the hosting of your site, secure backup of your site and its data and 24/7 monitoring of the service performance. Each subscription plan also includes a certain amount of storage and a monthly bandwidth limit.
What happens if I use more storage or bandwidth?
Your site will remain live and accessible. If you do use more Gbs than your plan includes then you will be charged €1 per additional whole Gb of storage or bandwidth you use.
How do I know how much storage and bandwidth I have used this month?
You can check the amount of storage and bandwidth by logging into the Service Manager. The current storage and bandwidth usage is shown here for every activated site
How will you remind me to renew my agreement?
We will send an email to the designated site owner 3 months before the end of the recurring payment period with instructions on how to renew the charging authorisation. We will continue to send reminders right up until the site is due for renewal.
