The technology development for the HammerKit framework started at the end of the millennium, when some of the current employees were engaged in the �Anvil� project that developed a Java development environment utilizing a reusable component approach.
2001-2003
� Anvil project acts as a catalyst and brings the core team together during 2001
� HammerKit v1.0 developed end 2002 with first commercial delivery in Spring 2003
� Basewell Oy formed to commercialize the technology
2004-2006
� HammerKit v2.0 launched in 2004 with visual application design
� HammerKit v3.0 launched in 2006 with multi-channel integration
� Assets of Basewell Oy acquired by HammerKit Oy along with an injection of capital to boost the business at the end of 2006
2007
� HammerKit v3.4 launched in the Summer offering full software component assembly functionality.
� Mark Sorsa-Leslie joins HammerKit Oy as Managing Director. Company posts full year turnover of �270,000 with an operating loss in line with expectations of �50,000.
� Version 3.5 of HammerKit launched towards the end of the year with a set of improvements making the reuse of produced web assets even simpler.
2008
� MD Mark Sorsa-Leslie steers the development of the service business. Company grows to 7 people.
� In October HammerKit wins the Audience Favorite and Best Company awards at the annual International MindTrek conference in Tampere, Finland.
� At the end of the year the company raises a seed round of funding and is selected by the Finnish National Innovation Organisation, TEKES, as a one of ten companies nominated as a �Young Innovative Company� with high-growth potential.
2009
� Services business launched targeting creative agencies, media companies and web designers with the offer of a complete online studio for the production and maintenance of dynamic web services.
� The company grows to 11 people with Anu Halme joining the management team as Head of Sales.
� HammerKit selected as one of the Red Herring Global 100 winners of 2009
Version 4.0, HammerKit Studio, will be released in Spring 2010.
