To use put a text inside a div control:

1. Go to the Component Editor and open a component
2. Look in the Elements tray and locate the Container div/span element
3. Drag the element to the component. The options will appear and you can specify whether this should be a div or span container and then set the styles. 
4. Click OK. This will show a dotted area and the words "No content".
5. Now drag a Text or Plain Text element inside the Container element and specify/style your text.
