You can set the table cell sizes by right-clicking on the cell and selecting Edit Cell. Point your mouse at the cell and then right-click. The settings box appears and you then click the Styles tab and look for the dimensions part. You will be able to set the height and and width of the cell from here.

You can also change the look and feel of the cell using this approach by adjusting the other settings found in the style section.
