Interacting with students is an excellent way of staying on top of things. This Autumn we are co-operating with Metropolia University of applied sciences on their Application Development course. Students are working on case assignments that require them to think out of the box in solving real life business challenges. Students will gain practical knowledge on how an innovation process is carried through in an organisation. Another important aspect is to consider the business potential of their work. The students will also be learning how to evaluate demand and market potential and finally present their work to a panel of investors. All this aims at preparing future employees, who actually already have some practical experience. Now, how cool is that!
For us, this co-op brings useful aid in product development and most importantly a fresh outsider's look on HammerKit. We'll certainly keep an ear out for feedback from the project groups.
Every once in a while it's healthy to let loose in order to stay focused. We pampered the students with a fun night of bowling and pool together with another participating company Runtoshop, producer of a social recommendation service. Check out some more pics here!
